Preparation Connect the 9 pin connection cable, which is delivered with your package, to your computer. Connect the other end of the cable to your device (sterilizer, disinfector or sealing machine). Insert the CD-ROM delivered with your software into the CD-ROM drive. If your operating system supports autorun, the setup will start automatically after several seconds. If the setup does not automatically start, please choose Run in the Start menu. Enter: "D:\Setup.exe" (where "D" means the drive letter, which is assigned to your CD-ROM drive). The Comcotec SegoSoft setup wizard will guide you through the next steps of the installation. Please restart your computer, if requested by the setup wizard. After the installation, you will find a menu Comcotec - SegoSoft in the menu Programs, which you can access by clicking the Windows Start button. Start the software SegoSoft.

To use the software, you have to configure the connected devices. Please choose Add device in the menu Devices of the software.

The device configuration wizard will guide you through the required steps. Choose the device type and the device manufacturer in the corresponding dialog windows. Fill in the fields "Device name" and "Location" in the properties of the Device dialogue. Choose the option "Serial" in the dialog Select connection type. In the dialogue Edit connection parameters please choose the serial port of your computer (COMx), to which the connection cable is connected.

After the device configuration wizard has finished, a symbol will show up in the Window Devices, representing the newly configured device. Click the device symbol with the secondary mouse button and choose Connect in the context menu that will show up.
If the connection has been succesful, the color of the device symbol will change to either yellow or green
Please repeat these steps for every device that you want to connect to your computer. (Please refer to the online help for further information.) Your SegoSoft process documentation system is now ready for operation.
